Mat Exercise

Exercise objectives are back extensor strength, abdominal strength and hip flexor strength.

Lying on your mat take your legs one at a time to Table Top and arms are as far back as you can take them to your ears without “popping” your ribs up, palms facing together.

  • Inhale – to ‘break point’
  • Exhale – Roll up
  • Inhale – extend spine
  • Exhale – roll down to start position




  • Hold legs as still as possible
  • Extend spine from lower back then middle back then upper back.
